Food quality is of a very high standard! The staff can't do enough for you and very friendly! One of my favourite places on the North Coast. Love the big old fire for atmosphere.
If you're looking for a nice day trip up North it's well worth the bother. Just a bit further along than Down hill beach. Very big beach area, for a walk, overlooking the Foyle river as it goes out to sea. And lunch, or dinner, in the Point bar. The menu had a good choice and the staff were very friendly. Dress up for the weather to get the best advantage. Later in the year you can catch the ferry to Greencastle and possibly drive the Atlantic Way.
Love this place, cosy and relaxing with good home cooking. Their food is always hot and tasty. Winter tea times are not too busy where as during summer, you need to get there early. Super clean toilets too which is vital for me, you can always tell how an establishment is run by checking out the ladies.
Went on Sunday 30th December about 1:45 p.m. the place was bunged! Had to wait about half an hour for a table but well worth the wait. Food excellent as always and staff working like a well oiled machine. Prices very reasonable too.
Brilliant place to eat. Great variety on menu. Food is outstanding. Service is great. Friendly staff and lovely setting. The best restaurant for miles around.
