Lovely park.. Roe Valley Country Park offers spectacular riverside views and peaceful woodland walks along with opportunities for salmon and trout fishing (license required), canoeing for the experienced, bouldering and rock climbing plus orienteering too. Plenty to do andplenty of space to do it in!The sometimes fairly wild river plunges through spectacular gorges making for frequent rainbows and terrific photos and the park is a safe home to foxes, badgers and otters plus over 60 species of birds have been seen there. In springtime, the woodland floor is covered with a carpet of wild flowers again making for fantastic photos with the kids, though you are politely requested not to pick more than a few. There is a disabled angler's jetty by the river and also for the disabled visitor there is a specially designed trail emphasising the wildlife of the park. This includes an audio guide for blind and partially sighted visitors. Also worth a visit is the newly refurbished Ritters Tea Room' which opens daily.Visitors can learn about the industrial and natural heritage of the area in the Museum And Countryside Centre, where a restored water wheel can also be seen and much of the original equipment is preserved. In addition, find out more about Ulster's first domestic hydro-electric power station.

Great for country walks but a lot of dogs dirtys left lying... Watch where you stand

Lovely place for short easy to long challenging walks. Lots of grey squirrels to be seen at the minute. Popular fishing river. Can be reached from the back of the Roepark Resort Hotel if staying there.

Pure beauty amid beautiful Creation in forested River Valley. Nice footpaths. Many birds and trees. Areas of rapid waters. Also interesting museum.

Excellent walk at any time of the year, with well maintained paths along the river Roe. Good cafe serving everything from coffee and cake to dinners.Great history with lots of mills and weirs.
